About

Assessment

Your first session starts with a quick conversation followed by an assessment. We look at your posture and range of motion to identify the root cause of your complaint.

Treatment

Your hands-on treatment will include a combination of soft tissue techniques, stretching, and movement education.

Plan

We re-assess to evaluate the progress of the treatment, and create a Treatment Plan that is tailored to you. The goal is to support your recovery, reduce pain and tension, and help you maintain long-term wellness through consistent, effective care.

How it Works

Do I need massage therapy?

Massage is an excellent form of treatment to encourage healing from an injury, and complements other forms of rehabilitation, including Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and osteopathy. Massage therapy can also help alleviate headaches, sciatica, and scar tissue buildup, as well as increase a joint’s range of motion, reduce pain, and calming the nervous system.

What’s the difference between a Sports Massage and a Relaxation/Traditional Massage?

Sports Massage isn’t just for athletes – It’s tailored towards anyone who trains hard or puts consistent stress on their body. Sessions focus on muscle tension, imbalances and movement patterns to promote recovery.

Relaxation/Traditional Massage focuses on relaxation and calming the body’s nervous system and takes a slightly slower approach.

Your session does not have to be one approach vs another. We can work together to discuss what your goals are and make sure the session is tailored to what your body needs.

Do I need to be in pain to get a massage?

No. Regular massage therapy sessions can reduce as well as prevent muscle pain, improve circulation, and support faster recovery from physical activity or injury. Whether you spend long hours at a desk, stay active with sports, or deal with chronic tightness, targeted treatment can help restore balance and improve how your body feels day to day.

Does massage therapy hurt?

Massage therapy can sometimes feel uncomfortable, especially when working over tender or sore areas, but it shouldn’t hurt. Treatments should always be within your pain tolerance. Be sure to speak up if you need more or less pressure!
